My maternal great-grandmother, married to Shmuel Berl Kupershmit with whom she had operated the Shenk (bar-restaurant) in Volchin. She was a woman of valor.
Mother of Mindl, Malke (Feige Malke), Abraham (Avraham), Azriel, and Israel.
Shmuel Berl died in 1915. After his death, Sure Hinde and their daughter Mindl ran the Shenk. Mindl's sister, Malka (Feige Malke), was my mother Tema's age, they were friends, and together they helped operate the Shenk.
