With the flow of time, Divin became bigger and bigger. Four right, straight [perpendicular] streets developed from the center of Divin. The town center, in which these streets {
25} intersected, was called
The Market. The newly-developed streets were renamed by their direction and the name of the neighboring village. Specifically:
1. The street running from Divin to the east to the town Povit, was called
Povitskaya Street. Between Divin and the town of Povit was a big, thick forest divied by the road from Divin into Povit. Landmarks were placed as signs along the right side of the road. This was done so that people did not get lost in the woods and did not veer off the path. Thus, up to the present, the natural boundary there is called
Vishki.
2. The street, running south, in the direction of the town of Ratno, was called
Ratnenskoy.
3. The street, running to the east, in the direction of the city of Brest, was called
Brestskiy Street.
4. The street running to the north-west, to the city of Kobryn, is called
Kobrynskaya. All four streets start in the center, in other words, from their intersection.
Dirt roads tied Divin to its neighboring villages.
