I am informed that the 1928 Polish Business Survey fails to list the hardware business of my great-grandfather Meir Shevach Stavsky in Wysokie Litewskie, nor does it list the similiar business of my grandfather Rachmil Stavsky in Volchin.

| Editor's Notes: The Wysokie heading in the Business Survey, under Żelazo [Polish: iron] includes listings for A. Cielnik, G. Gotbeter, R. Gutman, R. Kac, I. Liberman and B. Rejf; J. Sadolski and D. Sztulberg, but there is no mention at all of a Stavsky running a business in Wysokie.. In [much smaller] Volchin, there are no iron or hardware business listed at all, and the only Stavsky mentioned is R. Stawski, in a food business. |
