Gedalia and Hannah
Gedalia was the son of Binyamin Hoffman and Rasha. He was born in Berditchev in 1880:

Hannah, daughter of David Weinstein and Gitla, was born in Zamoshch in 1881:

Gedalya and Hannah married early in the 20th century. Initially, they lived in Berdichev.

Gedalya was arrested because of his participation in prohibited Zionist activity. His family got him out of the Russian prison by bribing his jailors and smuggled him out to Brest, where the family re-settled. They lived on Dluga Street and traded in linen.
