The title of this section of four articles refers to the blue-colored collection box of the Jewish National Fund, Keren Kayemet LeYisrael, abbreviated KK"L. This Zionist organization, which purchased land in Israel starting in 1901, was clearly a familiar and favorite charity of the Tarbut students.
