In Halevanon, January 1869 appeared the first of a series of 4 articles by Rabbi A. L. Feinstein. The series was an linguistic analysis of the concepts of people/nation and man/humans and other related concepts as used in the Bible and in other religious texts.

Note that Rabbi Feinstein identifies himself with an acronym, Aleph (Aleph-Lamed-Phei), or AL"F, as he commonly did. This would be pronounced simply as Aleph..
