Baruch Meir's reflections on his practical and religious strengths and weaknesses, extracted from other material in the diary, are presented here in approximate chronological order.
In Baruch Meir's writings we find traces of the influence of the Mussar movement (about which see, for example, here, and here) such as writing a diary, subjecting oneself to self-examination, and recording one’s personal shortcomings. He was also clearly influenced by his father, as illustrated in his eulogy.
